The game is scheduled for release on November 3, 2017. Unlike many other companies, Activision doesn’t give too many options regarding their releases, whether digital or physical. Currently, there are only three types of editions of Call of Duty: WWII you can pre-order via the official website, and here’s what you will get in each of them.
Call of Duty: WWII Standard Edition
Price: $59.99
As usual, the Standard Edition of the game includes only the game itself without any bonuses. However, you will get an upcoming beta access code if you will pre-order either digital or physical copies for $59.99.
If you want to play the game as soon as it gets released, then it is advisable to pre-order the digital version, as it will be available immediately at the moment of release. Physical copies always arrive a bit later.
Another important thing to note that if you do decide to purchase Call of Duty: WWII digitally, then pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition would be more beneficial than the Standard Edition.
Call of Duty: WWII Digital Deluxe Edition
Price: $99.99
In addition to the Standard Edition of the game with the beta access code, pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition will also get you the Season Pass (which typically costs another $50), and other bonus content for the $99.99 price tag.
So if you do plan on paying for the DLCs, this edition includes everything in one pack with a discount. And if you are a PS4 owner, you will receive the additional content 30 days earlier than any other platform, whether it’s PC or Xbox One.
As for the contents of the deluxe bonus pack, there is no information available yet. But it is reported that the PS4 Deluxe edition will receive a special Dynamic system theme based on the game.
Call of Duty: WWII Pro Edition
Price: $99.99
The Pro Edition is the physical analog of the Digital Deluxe Edition with an additional collector’s Steel Book. Surprisingly, the price tag on the Pro Edition is also $99.99, but it is only available at GameStop – and it’s currently out of stock.
If you are an avid collector of exclusive gaming editions, then consider pre-ordering the Pro Edition if it becomes available again. Otherwise, buy the Standard Edition if you want to play the game without any DLCs, or the Digital Deluxe Edition if you’re planning on spending a lot of time in the game and taking full advantage of the Season Pass.
